Location

The London Roundhouse

240 Waterloo Street London, ON Canada

Description

At the last meeting of Pints & Politics we had a discussion about how citizens can be advocates for better urban design to help build a happier place for all Londoners.

ATTENDANCE IS LIMITED for this event. We're looking for people who can help push this project forward, people who can invest time and energy into a monthly event (previous experience not required). If this sounds like you please register early.

This is a new idea so we're going to start out by establishing a direction together and what better place than to review some of the great thinkers in this area? So on May 29th we're going to have a chat about Charles Montgomery's Happy City.

We're working with the London Public Library to have a few copies of the book available for as many folks as we can but availability will be limited. We encourage you to support the author by purchasing copies of the book through Chapters or Amazon (paperback or Kindle).

It's a relatively short (368 pages) and easy read and it's a great place to dig into the whole point of this initiative, building a better city for happier citizens.

We're still nailing down a venue for the book club but it will be a central location. Feel free to register now and we will email you with an update as soon as we have the location finalized.

Head over to the Urban League event page if you want to hear a podcast about Happy City and catch a few interviews and talks with Charles Montgomery.
